In her more than twenty-five years of private practice as a psychotherapist and licensed mental health counselor, Abby Seixas has helped countless women reclaim their life-balance. Through her private psychotherapy practice, as well as through workshops, retreats and her popular Deep River™ groups, Abby has dedicated her professional life for the last two decades to helping others learn and practice “the art of slowing down.” Her television appear-ances include NBC’s “The Today Show,” the Hallmark channel, KRON-TV in San Francisco, and Fox25 and CBS4 TV in Boston. Her work has been featured in national and local print media, including “O” The Oprah Magazine, Self, Body+Soul, Woman's Day, First for Women and The Boston Globe, Contra Costa Times and Palm Beach Post. Abby has worked as a consultant and clinical psychotherapy supervisor at training centers in the United States and abroad, including England, the Netherlands and Russia. As a mother of two (now grown) children, wife and active professional, she has had ample experience in seeking the Deep River amidst a busy life. |
