The Deep River Within: Taming the To-Do List and Finding Depth in Everyday Life. A Distance course via teleconference and Internet.
In response to requests for groups from many places around the country and the world, I launched the first 7-week Deep River distance course (via phone teleconference and web) in 2009.  Thus far, women have participated from Australia, England, the Netherlands, Finland, Canada and 8 states all across the U.S.

The course, offered each autumn starting in October, consists of one phone meeting per week, plus interaction on a participants-only website for posting comments, sharing and questions, and for accessing downloads of supplemental materials, including articles, cartoons, recordings of exercises, etc. Calls will be recorded for course members only to download if a meeting is missed.

Distance Facilitator Training
“Gather the Women…” A Distance Facilitator Training via teleconference & internet

Four Sundays, March 4 - April 1, 2012 (no teleconference on March 25)

The purpose of the Deep River Facilitator Training is to give helping professionals and others who wish to work with women in face-to-face groups, the tools and support to create Deep River groups wherever they are, around the United States and around the world.

The distance course consists of four phone calls plus interaction on a participants-only website. All calls will be recorded (for participants only) and can be downloaded if a meeting is missed. The course will include didactic training, discussion, Q&A, and practice facilitation. Attendance at a 7-week or day-long Deep River group is a prerequisite. Cost is $180.

Facebook and The Deep River?

The Deep River page on Facebook isn't actually *new* anymore, but I encourage you to join it if you haven't already. I can't promise deep stillness or flashes of enlightenment upon "Liking" the page, ;-) but I recommend it because: 

•While this website has a lovely, quiet feel that people say they like to visit just for that reason, the truth is, I only update it every once in a while.

• I don't like to crowd people's inboxes so I generally send out my newsletter once a month at most. So...

• That means, at least for now, the Deep River Facebook page is the place to go for regular postings of relevant links, quotes, resources, Deep River ponderings as well as upcoming events...
